Stray Kids’ official fandom is STAY, but the relevant 2026 product was not an always-open subscription. JYP Entertainment announced STAY 6th Gen under the name “STAY WITH YOUR WINGS” with recruitment through the FANS platform. The official preview listed January 26 to February 4, 2026, and a later closing notice extended the final deadline to February 5 at 11:59 p.m. KST.
That window has passed. As of this article’s August 1 verification, the archived recruitment pages remain useful evidence of what JYP announced, but they do not allow a reader to conclude that a new enrollment, kit sale, presale or Seoul event is open.
What the official record confirms
The artist notice confirms the fandom name, generation, campaign name, platform and limited recruitment period. It also links the membership-kit preview. These are safer reference points than a screenshot, second-hand marketplace listing or social account that merely includes “STAY” in its name.
The important status is closed recruitment. A seller may offer an unopened kit after the deadline, but a physical kit is not the same thing as the original purchaser’s fanclub status. Do not buy a resale listing expecting account benefits, identity-based access or future ticket eligibility.
FANS access and event access are separate questions
The 6th Gen notice directed fans to FANS. That does not mean every Stray Kids activity on FANS is a paid membership benefit, and it does not mean that holding a membership automatically grants a ticket.
For any later concert, fan meeting, broadcast or merchandise benefit, require a new event-specific notice. Check the eligible generation, application period, ticket platform, legal-name rule and required ID. If the new notice does not mention STAY 6th Gen, do not infer eligibility from the old recruitment page.
How to verify merchandise safely
Use the exact product name from the JYP or Stray Kids notice. Confirm whether a listing is the membership kit, separate official merchandise or a fan-made item. Then check the authorized seller, order period, included items, shipping territory and refund terms.
An “official” label in a marketplace title is not enough. A resale kit can be authentic while still providing no transferable digital membership or event rights. Avoid sellers requesting a FANS login, identity document or account transfer.
What this means for a Seoul trip
The fanclub campaign does not confirm a concert, pop-up, agency visit or ticket sale. Do not reserve non-refundable travel around an archived membership notice. A Seoul plan becomes actionable only when JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids’ official site, an authorized promoter, the venue or the named ticket platform publishes a direct event notice.
Agency offices are workplaces and are not automatic visitor attractions. If you want a fan-focused day, pair one confirmed public store or exhibition with ordinary nearby plans, and recheck opening hours on the day.
Why fixed recruitment windows exist at all
Fans coming from fandoms with an always-open, rolling membership sometimes read a closed recruitment window as unusual or even a mistake. For JYP’s generation-based STAY system, a fixed window is the normal structure, not an exception. Selling a numbered generation for a defined period, rather than as an evergreen product, lets the agency and platform plan a specific kit production run, set a specific benefit period, and give that generation’s members a defined, shared identity — all things that are harder to manage cleanly with an indefinitely rolling membership. Understanding this is useful beyond Stray Kids specifically: a reader who assumes every K-pop membership works like a rolling subscription will keep being surprised by closed windows across multiple fandoms, when the numbered-generation model is actually common practice.
What tends to happen between generations
Based on how this pattern generally works across JYP-managed fanclubs, the gap between one generation’s close and the next generation’s opening is not fixed or guaranteed to be short. Fans should not treat “STAY 6th Gen closed in February” as implying a 7th generation is imminent, nor assume it is far off — neither inference is supported by the closing notice alone. The only reliable signal is a new notice actually announcing a new generation’s recruitment window, appearing through the same official channels this guide already points to.
This article is a status and verification guide, not an event announcement. If JYP opens another generation or an additional recruitment window, the new official notice — not the 6th Gen archive — should replace the decision basis. Recheck the official Stray Kids notice list directly rather than relying on this page’s dates once meaningful time has passed.
